Lifestyle Product Photography
Why choose lifestyle photography/ styled product photography?
Lifestyle product photography can really help to bring products to life and to inspire your customers.
This kind of photography is generally not photographed on a plain white background but instead involves creating a ‘scene’ or ‘set’ in which to place your product. This involves carefully choosing backgrounds and props, using colour, composition and lighting to create the right mood.
If you are selling products via Not On The Highstreet or Etsy or similar E-commerce websites then you will need high quality e-commerce product photos to attract buyers.
I can also photograph your products, and edit these to be on a pure white background if you need this for your online shop. Generally I offer this alongside a styled photo shoot.

I have a lovely bright studio in North London suitable for photographing a range of products. Typical shoots include the following:
pre-shoot preparation and research to find out exactly what you need
use of my studio and professional equipment
daylight and/or studio flash lighting plus modifiers as appropriate
tethered shooting (images can be viewed on a laptop as I shoot, which is useful to check focus, composition & styling)
props and styling service/ advice/ collaboration
use of a variety of backgrounds and props (paper, fabric & painted boards)
professional photographer insurance
editing and retouching of images
a “dedicated, well prepared and professional” photographer”
a relaxed and enjoyable collaborative process

Do I need to book a stylist?
No, you don’t need to book a separate stylist, on most shoots I do both the styling and photography. I am of course happy to work with your chosen stylist (or with you as stylist). Before the shoot we will discuss styling and props, review your moodboard (if you have one), so that I have a clear idea of what you like and what will suit your brand.
-
Do you work on location?
I generally work in my London studio (London, N15) where I have everything to hand. However I do also work on location in and around London. It can be fantastic to photograph products on location, working with the architectural features of a period or modern house for example.
-
How much do you charge?
Prices vary depending on what services you need (see the list above) and how many retouched photos you need.
Contact me for a free, no obligation quote. Just send me an email with the details, and then we can have a chat on the phone to make sure I fully understand your requirements before I quote.
-
How do I book a shoot?
Get in touch by phone or email to discuss your product photography needs. I will usually arrange a call to discuss your photographs in detail, and if needed I can assist you in developing a brief. I will then prepare a quote based on the brief, and offer you some potential dates for the shoot.
-
When will I receive the photographs?
I usually issue the photos 5 - 10 days after the photoshoot. I will always process and retouch the photographs as quickly as possible following the shoot, and I will do my best to work to any deadlines that you may have. Please let me know at the time of booking if you have a specific deadline.
-
What photography lighting do you use?
I use whatever lighting that I feel is most appropriate for the photo shoot, after I have discussed ideas with you and had a look at a mood board or similar.
I have a set of 500w studio lights and modifiers which I tend to use for client photo shoots (as it is more even and controllable). I also work with natural light depending on the subject.
